Alastair Cole, Founder, Uplift – ‘The 2030 landscape and how we get there’
Alastair is a business practice lead who has over 20 years experience working with the building blocks of technology, delivering innovation for top tier brands and running business development teams. Alastair is a Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, a graduate of IDEO’s Foundations in Design Thinking and received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence from Birmingham University. Alastair recently founded Uplift to build sustainable performance in organisations through human and machine collaboration.
Marysia Chance, EU Head of Industry and Developer Marketing, Amazon Alexa – ‘Why Voice, Why Now?’
Marysia leads the Industry and Developer Marketing team for Alexa at Amazon in Europe. The team is responsible for inspiring, supporting and enabling developers and brands to bring their content to Alexa across both Amazon and third party devices. When not building out new marketing programs for the community Marysia loves to read and spend time with her family over good food and wine.
John Kennedy, Smart Speaker Specialist, DAX – ‘Voice App Awareness & Activation Strategies’
As the Smart Speaker specialist in the DAX sales team, John is responsible for the promotion of Skills across DAX’s portfolio of publishers. Encouraging listener use and brand interest. John started in audio back in 2014 as the creative production assistant on the Capital Scotland Breakfast show. Following this, he worked in the Global Airtime Team, working across Group M, Omnicom and Publicis selling and managing audio camapigns across the UK’s biggest radio networks. Now at DAX, John specialises in educating agencies on the benefits of Skills in data aquisition and listener engagement. Promoting the unique context DAX holds given its established audience of 12.2m monthly Smart Speaker listens.
Tiia Isoviita, Product Manager, Busienss Messaging Evolution, Vodafone – ‘RCS, The New Fronteer Of Messaging’
Tiia has a passion for technology, solving customer problems and building and scaling new products. In her current role, Tiia is a Product Manager for Business Messaging Evolution at Vodafone where she is responsible for detecting business needs, defining requirements and exploring business models to evolve the RCS experience.
Tiia has been in tech and marketing for most of her career. Previously, she has worked for companies like Google and Facebook building and launching new tools and products like Google Assistant, Google’s hardware and creative templates for stories in Facebook’s Ads Manager.
Erica Belanger, Assistant Director, Safe Hands – ‘Using Conversational AI For Good’
With over 15 years’ experience in international development, Erica is a technical expert on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). At SafeHands, Erica leads the organisation’s multimedia programmes through mHealth solutions, including collaboration with Say It Now on Ask RHU – a chatbot that delivers instant safe sex information to young people in Uganda. She is also the Chair of the UK SRHR Network, and leads a consortium of over 70 UK-based civil society organisations working to ensure SRHR remains high on the UK political agenda. Previously, Erica was the Senior Advocacy Adviser at the world’s largest reproductive health provider, the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) where she led the Federation’s advocacy on family planning policy and financing.
Charles Cadbury, CEO, Say It Now
Charlie has been working in emerging technologies for the past 20 years. He started working with Conversational AI in 2015, quickly learning the innovation was in multi-channel Conversational AI rather than just voice. He co-founded the multi award winning conversational platform www.dazzle.ai in 2016 which was the first Alexa based concierge in a Marriott Hotel.
