Alexa, Open Starbucks

Starbucks, the well-known multinational coffeehouse chain with over 32,000 stores in 80 countries, launched its first Actionable Audio Ad with us last week.

Starbucks was looking to tap into the smart speaker market in order to increase downloads of their app and to support their business mission ‘to inspire and nurture the human spirit- one person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time.’

Smart speaker listeners who heard the Starbucks ad on digital radio stations have been able to simply say “Alexa, Open Starbucks” in order to download the app or find out more about the terms and conditions before proceeding. Once you tell your Amazon Echo device that you wish to download the app, a link gets sent directly to your phone. Downloading the Starbucks app enables you to order ahead and collect stars as part of their loyalty programme, as well as discover their fantastic winter menu.

Maria Cadbury, Global Head of Strategic Partnerships at Say It Now says:

“Starbucks is a globally renowned company and it has been phenomenal to work with them to launch their first Actionable Audio Ad. Our Actionable Audio Ads deliver immediacy and convenience to Starbucks’ loyal customers who need their morning coffee and the array of live data that our dashboard collects provides Starbucks with an ideal insight into the campaign and provides a better understanding of their customers.”

Want to test it out for yourself? Just say “Alexa, Open Starbucks” to your Amazon Echo Device.
