August slow down?
Not here I’m afraid, I’ll spin through a rapid round-up and keep it succinct.
A couple of reports:
1 – Q2 RAJAR report shows that now nearly 25% of all commercial radio is listened to on smart speakers [full report]
2 – Our partner Teads released this CTV report with Justin Taylor, UK MD, saying in his intro:
“…consumers seem to be more willing to add items to their shopping basket, while watching a CTV ad, or use voice to activate Alexa skills.” [full post]
We’ve had a great response to the recent ‘Media First’ from Gov. The Director of Comms for HMRC, Andrew Pemberton, publicly stating:
“Our team of communications and marketing professionals at HM Revenue & Customs are embracing the latest technology and tactics in our ongoing efforts to make it easier and quicker for taxpayers to comply with their tax responsibilities.” [read post here].

Media Unscripted – The future of Actionable Ads [15 min interview]

UK Govt. ‘Media First’ with voice enabled TV ads
We’ve had a great response to the recent ‘Media First’ from the UK Gov. The Director of Comms for HMRC, Andrew Pemberton publicly stating:

As this client is always keen to show effective use of tax payers money they love the fact that they can evidence engagement and view real time data to optimise their campaigns in real time.
Commercial Radio Innovation Drives Record Audience Share
Q2 RAJAR report came out on 31st July showing strong growth in commercial radio listening.
2 Key stats:
- Tipping Point – Smart Speaker listening has now overtaken AM/FM Radio listening
- 12% – Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of smart listening since RAJAR started measuring in 2023 is 12% and showing no sign of slowing
Innovative formats are credited with the growth of this medium and smart speaker listening is now more than 50% of all digital streams.
This all means there is more and more smart speaker supply and engagement to be tapped into with actionable audio ads!
