This is the first time the UK Govt. has used voice enabled or ‘Actionable TV Ads’. This builds on the successes of earlier voice enabled audio campaigns.

With 60% of UK homes now having a smart speaker, this frictionless technology offers those viewers of the ad an easy way to engage with the message, find out more and download the app.

This voice engagement delivers real time data back to HMRC who, in turn, are able to better understand which channels, times of day or day of the week perform better in order to inform subsequent media placement. Meaning there is the option to spend the same on media but get a demonstrably greater return.
